How to Update your MBE Mobile App – Android

Please see below for instructions on how to check for your current version, and how to update the app on your Android device to the latest version.

It is important to always keep your MBE App up to date to ensure you receive the best experience from our App, and have access to all of the latest features and updates we make available to our clients.

Version Update Checker

In one of our recent updates, we introduced an update availability checker.  As soon as you open the App, if you see the following ‘Update Available’ popup, simply tap the update button and it will take you to the Google Play store and provide you with the ability to update your App to the latest version.

Check your Version

If you do not see the ‘Update Available’ popup as described above, you may be on a version released before the version update check was published.  Once logged into the App, on the home screen, click the settings icon at the top right of the screen and select ‘About’ from the menu.  This will show you what version you are currently running.  Latest Version: 4.10.08 – Released March 21st 2024.

Legacy App

Version 1 of our mobile App was superseded in December of 2022.  If your App icon and home page looks like the images displayed here, you will have to un-install your App and find our new version in the Google Play Store.

Follow the instructions below to un-install and re-install the latest version of the MBE mobile App.

Un-Installing the MBE App

To uninstall your current version, tap and hold the MBE App icon and select the option to uninstall.  This is usually only necessary if you are on the legacy versions of our app (see above), before installing the newer version.

Installing the MBE App

To install the new version of the App, open your Google Play Store and search for ‘Medical Billing Experts‘.  The App will show as per the image displayed here.  Install the App.  Note: you will be prompted to sign in with your username and password.  If you have forgotten your login credentials, you can select the ‘forgot password’ option.  This will send you an email with your username and a link to reset your password.

Updating the MBE App

To manually update your version of the App, tap and hold the App icon and then tap the information icon.  Scroll down and tap ‘App details in store’ to view the app in Google Play Store and then tap update, if an update is available.  You could also search for the App in the Google Play Store using the search term ‘Medical Billing Experts’.  If there is not update icon, you are already on the latest version!

Note: Updating the App may require you to re-enter your username and password to sign in.
